Special Waste

Problem substances which, because of their environmental polluting characteristics (potentially damaging to the health, to the air and the water and the soil, explosive, combustible, pathogens or tranferable diseases), cannot be disposed with the normal Domestic Refuse. The expression 'special waste' has not yet taken on a uniform definition.
