Biofilter

Equipment for the removal of unpleasant Odour-producing Substances which can occur, for example, in intensive animal husbandry, in Sewage Treatment plants, or in foodstuffs production (for instance chocolate factories, fish processing industry). The Exhaust Gas with its intensive odour characteristics is passed through the biofilter (flat-bed filter, multi-layer filter). Biofilters highly efficient and incur only low maintenance costs. The removal of substances with odour characteristics is achieved with the help of micro-organisms which have settled on a base material (e.g. compost, humus, peat).
