Diesel Soot

Solid particles contained in the Exhaust Gases from Motor Vehicle fitted with diesel engines. Experiments have given rise to the suspicion that diesel soot may have a carcinogenic effect on humans. The carcinogenic effect has to do with the composition and structure of the soot particles and the other harzardous substances attached to them (e.g. Polyciclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons).
