Dry-cleaning

Perchlorethylene (PER) is the main cleaning medium used, although Chlorofluorocarbons are also used to a small extent. Dry-cleaning plants, taken on the whole, release 30 to 50 kg of Solvents into the air for every kg of goods cleaned.
