Soot Filter

A Waste Gas Purification device for diesel-engined vehicles. Soot filters consist, for example, of ceramic honeycomb or spirally wound filters in which the Smoke contained in the diesel Exhaust Gases is separated. It is burnt off there periodically, either by spontaneous ignition or by the use of an aid. Soot filters are only available for utility vehicles at the present time.
