Easily Decomposed Substances

Organic Compounds which are decomposed within a short period in the environment (e.g. by micro-organisms) with the consumption to form inorganic substances. The consumption of oxygen may be measured as the Chemical or as the Biochemical (Biological) Oxygen Demand.
