Forest Damage

New cases of forest damage have been discovered throughout the world since the start of the 1970s. The main cause of the damage are atmospheric pollutants such as Sulphur Dioxide , Oxides of Nitrogen and Photo-oxidants in conjunction with soil damage as a consequence of acidulation and over-fertilization. Other factors, such as climatic influences, noxious agents and forestery operations, contribute to the development of damage. The most effective possibility for the control of forest damage is the reduction of dangerous Emission, above all from Power Stations, Motor Vehicles and domestic heating systems.
